Katus is an Austin, Texas based architectural design firm is rolling out a new identity system this week. The business is a rebrand of Olicon Design and is led by John Rickard and Steve Zoerner.

The new logo mark is inspired by the name Katus, which is Estonian for “roof.” The K is designed to resemble roof trusses, and when placed back to back, create a very elegant shape.

Since most of Katus’ new business is accomplished through relationships and networking, having a memorable card was essential. This card is clear plastic with die-cut edges, ensuring that whoever receives one will spend at least a little extra time interacting with it. Whenever you can surprise someone with an unexpected textural or visual experience, the impression stays with them and is well worth the extra expense.
